Self-employed in the private practice of law for over 35 years; practice limited to civil litigation, criminal law, negotiation and trial of eminent domain cases at federal, state, and local levels; administrative and local government law. Current law office address is 181 Granville Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.

State of Ohio  1967 – 1969  Deputy Assistant to the Governor

Equal Employment Opportunity Contract Compliance Officer, Department of Public Works and Deputy Assistant to the Governor, State of Ohio; both duties performed in the Office of Governor James A. Rhodes.

State of Ohio       1967    Attorney Examiner and Hearing Officer

Corporate franchise tax and personal property tax determinations and assessments for the Ohio Department of Taxation.

State of Ohio   1964  - 1967  Assistant Attorney General

Trial Attorney for State of Ohio - Departments of Highways, Natural Resources and Public Works.  Specialized in the areas of real property law, oil and gas law and trial of appropriation/eminent domain cases.

OTHER COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT

Gahanna City Council.  1982 – 1985, Elected to two (2) terms representing Ward 4 in Gahanna, Ohio.

Former Member of the Charter Review Commissions, Gahanna, Ohio: 1971 and 1987.

Former Assistant Magistrate - Gahanna Mayor‘s Court.

Past Member & President of the City of Gahanna, Ohio Parks and Recreation Board.

Area Leader in 2003 for the St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church Fund Appeal in Gahanna to help raise $ 7 Million in pledges to build a new church, new activity center and new learning center.

Former President - Foxboro Civic Association - Gahanna, Ohio, 1975.

Former Attorney for the Community Improvement Corporation, Gahanna, Ohio.

Member, The Ohio Supreme Court Commission for Lawyer Referral and Information Services 1/13/98 to 12/31/99; 1/2000 to 12/31/2002.

Past President of the Franklin County Trial Lawyer's Association:  1996 - 1997.

Awarded outstanding local trial bar association in 1997 by the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Board of Trustees for the Franklin County Trial Lawyer's Association: 1991 -  1997.

Member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Justice, and the Central Ohio Association for Justice.

EDUCATION

Ohio State University College of Law 1961-1964 Juris Doctor Degree 

Admitted to the Ohio Bar, October 1964.  Activities: Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.

Indiana University   1960-1961  Master of Business Administration

Indiana University awarded me a graduate teaching scholarship to the School of Business. Taught basic accounting principles while majoring in accounting.

 University of Notre Dame 1956-1960  Bachelor of Business Administration

Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Activities:  Blue Circle Honor Society; Confraternity of Christian Doctrine; Junior Class Vice President.  Dean's List 4 years.
